Global Community eXperience was developed in the spirit of cooperation. Leveraging the wealth of technology now available in the world, the GCX brand is to apply digital innovation towards community-building purposes. We see an GCX has evolved out of earlier website experiments. (See World Wide WebPort and Peace Portal.) Their common goal was to offer positive alternatives to the vast commercialization of the internet. Through a concept of "self-sustainable" community models and templates, these "living" research & development sites demanded a more complete local demonstration to fulfill its vision. From this need the Los Gatos eXperience was born. Santa Cruz X, Silicon Valley X and California X were soon to follow as other community model projects. GCX is now realizing its dream of "Connecting Globally & Interacting Locally" as it facilitates numerous ways and means for Individual "Ambassadors," Business and Organizational Members along with entire communities to better live, work, communicate and cooperate together appropriately using technology. We seek to fulfill the original promise of the internet, to create a network of networks that supports the digital emulation of our "Realtime" world in this domain we now know as "Cyberspace." |
